Fruit Cereal Preworkout Energy Bites
Energy bites come in all kinds of forms. We think the best ones are tasty, easy to make, and use Fruit cereal MuscleEgg for a punch of protein and flavor. These yummy little morsels are unprocessed, no-bake bites that make great sidekicks to a hearty breakfast or quick snack before a workout. They've got protein, amino acids, fiber, Vitamin C & Omega-3s!
Everything you need for that extra boost of energy is packed into these little energy bites. Sometimes gains come in small packages and this recipe is proof of that! Since these need to spend a little time in the freezer, we recommend making a large back that you can keep in the fridge until you're ready to pop a few in your mouth and get your workout on.
- 1/4 cup Fruit Cereal MuscleEgg egg whites
- 1/2 cup oat flour
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 2 tbsp unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1 scoop fruit-flavored pre-workout powder (I used watermelon)
- 1/4 cup freeze-dried no sugar added strawberries crushed + a little extra for topping
- 1 tbsp tablespoon chia seeds
- Zest of 1 lemon & 1 lime
Mix all dry ingredients, but only add 1/2 of the lemon & lime zest. The rest is used for topping.
Add the MuscleEgg and mix.
Dough should be pliable yet dry enough to pull apart & roll into small discs.
Place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and freeze up to 1 hour.
Top with remaining zest and dried strawberries.
