About Dr. Autumn

Autumn Swansen began gymnastics, tap, and jazz dance at the age of 3. It was then that her fitness dream first began as she mimicked moves in her living room floor while watching televised competitions. During grade and highschool, Autumn added cheerleading and soccer to the list and found herself regularly weight training with the basketball team despite not being a player. She even began lifting in the field house with the football team and dabbled in track. Autumn focused on academics in college and was on the dance team at Transylvania University during her undergraduate work earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise Science and Spanish. After being coaxed to enter a few beauty pageants by her cheer coach, she found herself doing the best in one category...fitness. She first learned about bodybuilding through a competitor who happened to be in a pageant with her. Soon after, she attended her first show and decided it was something she wanted to give a try especially considering she had been working as an ISAA personal trainer. She continued to cross paths with more and more people that "showed her the ropes" and believed in her. She began in figure, moved to fitness, and now competes in the physique division. As she went on to pursue a higher level of education during graduate school at the University of Kentucky, she took a break from the stage after she became an IFBB professional athlete. However, she did not take a break from the gym and implemented progressively more as her anatomical knowlege grew. At UK she became a Doctor of Physical Therapy and shortly after a top IFBB pro in Women's Physique. She currently works full time as a PT at two different clinics both inpatient and outpatient settings. She is married to a fellow MuscleEgg athlete and top level national bodybuilder Brent Swansen. The two met through the world of bodybuilding making the sport that much more meaningful. They have a MuscleEgg mascot in the home as well named Petey, the most precious standard poodle on Earth! Autumn and Brent give all the glory and thanks to God for finding one another and for each and every blessing, opportunity, and victory in this life! For these reasons, Autumn has a wide range of experience and expertise that she is eager to share so that you too may meet and exceed your personal fitness goals!!!
