Peanut Butter and Jelly French Toast

You can do this one up however you like because you just can't lose. Peanut butter and jelly french toast takes a childhood lunch time favorite and combines it with a childhood breakfast favorite for one amazing meal that's packed with protein. Since it's technically not breakfast or lunch, let's just say that you can make this one for either. Or both. It's so good you'll probably want to make it for both AND decide to call it dinner too. Why not? You'll want more and more of this. Yes, it's a healthy option, but don't get too carried away! be nice and let your kids have some too. Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Strawberry MuscleEgg egg whites
  • 1 scoop Vanilla or Strawberry Protein powder
  • 3 tablespoons milk of choice
  • splash of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup strawberries
  • 2 pieces bread of choice
  • 3 tablespoons PB2 powdered peanut butter
  • 3-4 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. In a shallow bowl add egg whites, milk, and protein powder. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  2. Soak bread for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Preheat a griddle pan and coat with non-stick spray.
  4. Add soaked bread to pan and cook on each side for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
  5. In a small bowl combine PB2 and enough water to form a sauce/syrup like consistency.
  6. Mash strawberries or blend in a small food processor, add sweetener if desired.
  7. Layer French toast with strawberries and PB2 mixture.
  8. Add syrup if desired.
