CrossFit Diet Recipes: Steak and Scrambled Egg Whites

One of these essential nutrients is protein since it helps in the muscle regeneration and development of our body. Preparing meals which are rich in protein is not that hard, there are several recipes that you can find that will help you get your daily protein requirement. Below is one such recipe which uses steak and egg whites to give you the protein you need.


  • 1 oz grilled steak
  • 1 large egg white
  • 1 slice bread
  • 2/3 tsp light butter


  1. Preparing the steak and egg whites meal is actually very simple. Start off by cooking the steak on the grill until your desired level, whether it is rare, medium-rare or well-done.
  2. While waiting for the steak to cook, scramble the egg whites in a non-stick pan using only a small amount of oil or butter. After you have cooked the egg whites, place it aside and proceed with the next step.
  3. Spread the light butter on the piece of bread and then toast it in the over toaster for a minute or so. After you are done toasting, place it together with the egg whites and go back to the steak you are preparing.
  4. Once the steak is done grilling, place it together with the scrambled egg whites and the toast bread and serve.
